WILKES-BARRE, Pa. – The Arcadia University women's swimming team remains in first place through the first two sessions of the 2016 Diamond City Invitational, totaling 421 points through 24 events. Division II East Stroudsburg is in second with 338 points, while Misericordia is in third with 291 points.
RELAYS: The 200 medley and 800 freestyle relays placed second, with the 200 medley relay finishing second to the team from Misericordia (1:52.22) and the 800 free relay trailing only Mount Saint Mary (8:16.06). Freshman

INDIVIDUAL MEDLEY: Arcadia had five individuals score in the 400, led by Samson's fifth-place time of 4:58.00. Senior
Megan Obarowski was seventh in 5:01.36, while the 10th through 12th spots were occupied by Babarsky (5:06.72), junior
Danielle Fundakowski (5:09.68) and junior
Rose Georgias (5:10.90).
BUTTERFLY: Drago led the way for Arcadia with her fifth-place finish in the 100 with a time of 1:03.92. Sophomore
Rylee Cella placed 14th (1:08.34), while freshman
Amber Zelko placed 16th (1:10.64).
FREESTYLE: Four of the 16 scorers in the 200 donned the Scarlet and Grey, with Hupp's third-place (1:58.94) leading the way. Samson (2:05.51) and Sweeney (2:05.78) placed eighth and ninth, respectively, while freshman
Bekah Brown placed 16th (2:09.44).
BREASTSTROKE: Carpenter's third-place finish of 1:09.78 was the fastest of Arcadia's three scoring swimmers in the 100. Byers placed 10th in 1:14.81 and senior
Lillie Curtis placed 12th in 1:16.23.
BACKSTROKE: Ardamoy registered a fifth-place finish in the 100 with a time of 1:03.16, while Georgias placed 12th in 1:05.55.
NEXT UP: Arcadia will look to finish its quest for the Diamond City title when the third and final session begins Sunday at 10 a.m.
