GRANTHAM, Pa. – The fifth seeded Arcadia University men's soccer team traveled to top-seeded Messiah for the MAC Commonwealth Championship Semifinal, falling 4-0. With the loss, the Knights are 9-7-4 on the season, while Messiah moved to 16-0-3.
HOW IT HAPPENED: After a scoreless opening 45 minutes, the Falcons scored all four goals in the second half. Kirby Robbins' marker in the 52nd minute proved to be the game winner. Jacob Bender added the second goal in the 54th minute before Zeb Cross scored in the 71st and 75th minutes.
IN GOAL: Junior
Chris Watson made a career-high 15 saves, but fell to 9-7-4 on the season. Connor Bell did not make a save in picking up the win; Jonathan Weaver made one save in 13:56 of relief.
UP NEXT: The Knights now wait for a potential berth in the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Championship Tournament. Selection for the ECAC tournament will take place on Monday.
