GLENISDE, Pa. – Sophomore
Veronica Garcia scored the first and last goal of the night, while assisting on the second, to fuel a 3-0 victory for the second-seeded Arcadia University women's soccer team over third-seeded Widener in the MAC Commonwealth Championship Semifinal. The win sends the Scarlet and Grey to its third consecutive MAC Commonwealth Championship Final.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Garcia opened the scoring on Arcadia's first shot of the game, as she took a through ball from senior Jess Kelly and fired it into the upper left 90 from 20 yards out
- In the 14th minute, senior Kayla Haberbosch finished a cross from Garcia inside the box
- Garcia sealed the win by finishing a feed from classmate Karlie Flowers in the 90th minute
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
- The Scarlet and Grey outshot its opponent 21-15 on the night, including 10-5 in shots on goal, and took six corners compared to Widener's two.
- Garcia led all players with five shots, followed by Kelly with four. Haberbosch, senior Tara Smith and freshman Erin Vander Plaat each took two shots.
- Freshman Brianna Williams maintained the clean sheet by making five saves.
NOTES:
- This is the Knights' fourth straight win over Widener
- The game was Garcia's third two-goal game of the season
- For the third straight year, Arcadia advances to the MAC Commonwealth Championship to take on Messiah
